FoodTrck Privacy Policy
What is FoodTrck?
FoodTrck is an app developed by the HABits Lab, a research group
based in the Department of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University. Participants of HABits Lab eating
studies use FoodTrck to record their meals.
Privacy information
- FoodTrck sends all data entered by the user to the HABits Lab's research database, which is hosted on
the Northwestern School of Medicine's secure server.
- FoodTrck collects photo and text data.
- Users may choose whether FoodTrck can collect their location data. Location data is only collected when
surveys are submitted, and only with the user's permission.
- Camera permissions are needed to use FoodTrck.
- Data sent to the server can only be accessed by members of the HABits Lab study team.
- Data will not be shared outside the study team without the express permission of the user.
